I had a fun/awesome (really, it was that good) piece about what an incredibly dominant figure LeBron is for Cleveland and of course he decided to take the game off and just sit in a suit on the bench and think about his party at Cuvee or the new Shrek that's coming out this summer or whatnot. Frustrating. In any case, if you really wanna discuss LeBron hit me up on the Twitter machine and we'll talk.
Let's talk about this game right now, LeBron was out, the Bulls shot over 50% from the field, outrebounded the Cavs and Cleveland was really feeling the whole "F*ck it, it's the end of the regular season" and it showed in their game and the Bulls still only won by one. O, Chicago Bulls, you're such a funny team.
Some interesting line ups run out by Cavs coach, Mike Brown (he may have been thinking about LeBron's Cuvee soiree as well) but I was digging it and was really hoping for a big lineup of Varejao, Ilgauskus, O'neal (I know, he's still injured) with Jamison and Hickson at the 2 and 1 respectively. Just a total, impossibly huge line up of AT-AT Imperial Walkers overrunning the Bulls. Anyway it didn't happen. Also, if you're keeping score at home, Jawad Williams started in lieu of LBJ and, wow, "one heartbeat away, Jawad."
In any case, Mo Williams had a great night, shot over 50% and nailed 6-11 3-balls, 10 dimes and 4 turnovers. But nobody else was really doing anything for the Cavs and the Bulls shot much better than they have recently. Particularly Kirk Hinrich was feeling his shot, however, he didn't do much of anything else (2 dimes, 2 boards and one measly steal in 37 minutes). Very un-Kirk like.
Now with the Cavs outta town and the Bulls tied with the Toronto Raptors for the last playoff spot, the weekend of fate is upon us. In this narrative the ...ahem... "heroes" are the Chicago Bulls and they face the suddenly decent New Jersey Nets in Jersey tonight (not a gimme) and the Bosh-less Raptors on Sunday night in Toronto. Should be fun/awesome.
