As The Bulls Turn: Checkmate, Bulls

"If you come at the King, you best not miss." You're the Chicago Bulls and you gave King James all he could handle, the bad news? You did everything right and still lost. (The Bulls are Stinkum and Weebay, LeBron is Scar and Omar is the refs? fate? You make the call, readers.) You came at the King and you missed, Chicago. The Bulls only had four turnovers! That's a franchise playoff record, MJ's teams never did that in a game and Chicago still lost. Four of the Bulls starting five scored in double figures, with three of them (Deng, Rose and Noah) going for 20+ and the Bulls still lost. Chicago killed Cleveland on the offensive glass, created second-chance shot opportunities and still lost by double-digits. How did this happen? Well, this guy, for one had a major say in it: 40 points, 16-23 from the field, 6-6 from the charity stripe, 8 boards, 8 dimes, 2 threes, and only 2 turnovers in 41 minutes of game time. LeBron is the best player in the world right now.

Cleveland still has to win two games to cinch the series, but things do not look good for the Bulls. Yes, they're coming home to the United Center where they could (as Tailgate predicted) win a game and extend this series to five game, but for all intents and purposes this series is done. The Bulls are the dodo at the start of the 17th Century when Dutch explorers first landed on Mauritius: they ain't dead yet, but their ultimate demise is a foregone conclusion.

This isn't a Bulls-Celtics "wunderkind" series like last year's playoffs, the Bulls have encountered a much more focused, driven team that also happens to be blessed with, not only, the best basketball player in this galaxy; but one that is also loaded with size, talent and shooting ability. The Bulls are not capable of stopping this Cavaliers team. Last year's Celtics squad (one without Kevin Garnett, mind you) was too much and that was with the Bulls having the shooting talents of John Salmons and Ben Gordon. This Bulls team? Sorry, they're just not good enough to keep up. The Bulls had control of the second and third quarters in last night's game and it was just not enough to stop the spike-laden steamrolling, three point shooting, lane attacking machine that is the Cleveland LeBrons. [frowny face emoticon, Bulls fans.] Game Three is Thursday night at the United Center.

Appreciate any article that gives love to "The Wire."

I couldn't think of a more apt quote than that one from Omar. The Bulls? Lower-class hustlers. Cavaliers? Emperors. Have fun on Thurs. night, Raf!
