Ehlo's revenge: Chicago dropped from playoffs
As Kenny Smith would say, the Chicago Bulls have officially "gone fishin'."
With LeBron James f**king around and almost getting a triple-double, the Bulls were eliminated from the 2010 NBA playoffs after falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 96-94, in Game 5 on Tuesday night. Fortunately for Joakim Noah, he finally leaves the city that has "nothing going on."
Despite the loss, Noah and the Bulls have no reason to hang their heads in shame (well, except for Games 1 and 4). Expected to be run out of Quicken Loans Arena, the Bulls went toe-to-toe with the No. 1 seed in the East for the entire game, even pulling within 93-92 with 1:32 remaining. Following two free throws by James that gave the Cavs a three-point lead with just over a minute left, however, Derrick Rose forced an awkward left-handed shot that fell painfully short.
Game. Set. Match.
Rose, who averaged a sexy 27 points and seven assists for the series, finished the game with 31 points in 44 minutes of action. Noah, who played out of his freaking mind in Game 4 (21 points, 20 rebounds), finished with a mere eight points and nine rebounds.
Did I already mention that James fu**ked around and almost got a triple-double? Ice-Cube would definitely be pleased.
With Rose, Noah and the gang now on summer vacation, it's time for the Bulls' front office to finally get to work. Will John Paxson and Gar Forman lure an appealing free agent to the "Windy City?" Or will fans have to endure another .500 season for the third straight year?
Either way, one thing's for certain--Vinny Del Negro is out as coach of the Bulls. Quote me on that and tell all of your friends. I do give props to VDN, however, for mixing it up with Paxson.
