Roller Derby Turns 75!
Fun fact: The first-ever roller derby game was played here at the Chicago Coliseum in August 13th, 1935. This Friday (yes, August 13), join the Windy City Rollers as they host the sport's 75th anniversary at Shambles (2050 W. Division St.), starting at 8 p.m. Tickets to the next WCR All-Star game against the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls will be given away, derby footage will play all evening, and expect a night of drinks, dancing, and derby trivia. Of course, you have to be 21+ to attend.
