The Cubs have been stuck in the same old "wait 'til next year" meme that they've been using for over a century now. Trite? No doubt. Still, when one company wants to have a little bit of fun (see pic above) at the North Siders losing ways, BAM!, the Cubs upper management springs into action. Behold, the new and improved Miller ad that replaced the old one after one whole day of gentle ribbing.

We knew the Cubs Mgmt has no sense of humor, but now it also looks like the Bud people have nothing to laugh at either.

If the folks over at MillerCoors pullws that sign so quickly it has to mean they're going to take a run at Budweiser/Bud Light as primary beer sponsors at Wrigley Field and want to play nice.

Somebody in St Louis must have heard about this and broke out in a cold Bud Light Lime sweat of panic.
