Short Hops: Zirin on Stadiums, Bartman 7 Years Later, More!
Short Hops is the weekly link dump of Tailgate. It's basically a garbage pile where you, the curious and hungry black bears of the Internet, scavenge the leftovers that you may have missed whilst feasting on a blueberry patch all of last month.
- Today Is the seventh anniversary of the Bartman Game Tailgate's former Cubs apologist turned Southsider fan, The Turncoat, has an amazing retrospective of that fateful day.
- David Zirin was in Chicago and he talked about public policy and stadium rights with GB's Micah Uetricht.
- Bears Vote to Decertify, Cutler Back from Head Owie Potentially there will be a work stoppage next year in the NFL. The league allows every team the option to decertify (stop being a union) and in that case the NFLPA is allowed to sue for antitrust protection. Boring legalese but still very important. Also very important? Cutler will be back under center against Seattle.
