Knowledge-a-Bull -- Carlos Boozer
From time to time, we'll introduce one of your Chicago Bulls, hopefully letting you know a few things you didn't know before. This is one of those times.
Carlos Boozer
Power Forward • 6-9, 266 • Duke University • 8th year

Season stats: 20.5 pts, 10.1 reb, 2.2 ast, 0.7 stl, .565 FG%
-- Born on a U.S. military base in Cold War-era Aschaffenburg, Germany, he grew up in Juneau, Alaska (photo). He was inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame in 1999 along with fellow Duke alumnus Trajan Langdon and the Iditarod. Yes, the dog sled race.
-- Once rented out his Los Angeles mansion for eight months to Prince, the artist formerly and currently known as -- and then sued the Purple One after he made a slew of unauthorized renovations, including painting the exterior of the house purple with his eponymous symbol.
-- Penned a pretty heartfelt letter to fans on his official website upon joining the Bulls last summer. Awww ...
-- On the other hand, his 2004 departure from Cleveland was nearly as acrimonious as LeBron's departure six years later. He was "an evil, lying narcissist" to Cavs fans after he supposedly betrayed the team's blind owner by reneging on a gentleman's "understanding" to re-sign if they let him out of his contract early. Basically, it was the NBA version of "The Scorpion and the Frog."
-- Has his own "CB5" logo (right) all over his website.
-- Once lost a game of H.O.R.S.E. to a high schooler, though admittedly for a good reason:
-- His Twitter feed is chock full of motivational messages. (Sample: "Be Thankful For The Blessings We Have... Instead Of Worrying About What We Don't Have....") Also, exclamation points. (Sample: "Back In Chi!!!! Need All My Bulls Fans At The UC Tomorrow Night!! As We Take On Boston!!! Let's Go!!!")
-- Visited South Africa in September 2009 as part of the NBA's Basketball Without Borders program.
