WCR Bout 2 Results: Belles, Fury Rule the School

At the second bout of the season on Sunday, Feb. 13, Windy City Rollers fans and teams alike took home a valuable lesson in derby: Don't underestimate anyone.
Leading off was the Double Crossers vs. the Hell's Belles in a game that was presumed to be a no-brainer as the Belles have been on a losing streak since they lost to the Manic Attackers in the 2009 championships. Not this time. Led this year by co-captains Hermione Danger and Shocka Conduit, the Belles blew everyone's skates off when they slammed the Crossers 157-99.
Up next, last year's league champs, The Fury, took on their long-standing rivals, the Manic Attackers. Despite the Manic madness, the Fury followed last month's win with another, trouncing the girls in blue 145-85.
