Windy City Rollers Beat Minnesota
The Windy City Rollers All-Stars and Second Wind beat the A and B teams (respectively) of the Minnesota RollerGirls Saturday.
According to WCR spokeswoman Dinah Party, the All-Stars beat Minnesota's A-team 234-164, while the Second Wind beat Minnesota's B-team 226-144.
Saturday's bout was the last for the All-Stars before they head to Asheville, N.C. Sept. 20-22 to compete in the Women's Flat Track Derby Association Division 1 playoffs. If they place in the top 3 in Asheville, the All-Stars will get to compete for the Hydra trophy, awarded annually to the winner of the WFTDA championships.
