Vote for Your Favorite Poet!
Tuesday is the final event for the 18th Annual Gwendolyn Brooks Open Mic Award, and they're doing it up "American idol-style." Each of the 22 finalists will read their poem on stage, and the audience gets to decide who wins the $500 prize. Come to the Chopin Theatre (1543 W Division) tomorrow night at 7pm to watch the poets in action and cast your vote. The entrance fee is $7 ($5 for students).
