FitzGerald's, 6615 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn, holds its 20th annual Jambalaya Cook-Off tonight, featuring winners from the last 10 events competing for supremacy. This is the last year FitzGerald's is doing a jambalaya cookoff; next year they're switching to gumbo. Marcia Ball performs two sets during the evening. $20 gets you in. Doors open at 6:30, and the cook-off opens for sampling at 7:30pm. 21+
Sex Workers Outreach Project Chicago celebrates International Sex Worker Rights Day with a screening of the films A Kiss for Gabriela and The Honey Bringer tonight at Multikulti, 1000 N. Milwaukee Ave. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door.
Chicago Slam Works presents the LitMash tonight at Haymarket Pub & Brewery, 737 W. Randolph St. Watch a combination of storytellers and comedians compete for a cash prize for the best story.
