Live Mud Wrestling And Rock 'N Roll @ Reggies

If authentic mud wrestling and rock and roll are your thing, then the Chicago Mud Queens are here for you. Head over to Reggies at 2105 South State to cheer on Calamity Pain and Harlot O'Scara while jamming out to Get Up with the Get Downs: A James Brown cover band and Caveat Empire, to name a few. Tickets are available via Reggie's site and are $12 in advance, $15 at the door and $30 for VIP (a portion of the proceeds to local women-oriented charities) -- doors open at 7:30pm.

You're Being Ridiculous @ Mary's Attic

You're Being Ridiculous is a group of real people telling real funny stories about their lives with a theme as their guide. With three shows this month, there's sure to be a date that matches your calendar. Come out tonight to hear stories on the theme "Change" from Brooke Allen, Elizabeth Gomez, David Lipowski, Ruth McCormack, Anita Mechler, Karie Miller, Dana Norris and Jeremy Owens. Stories start at 7:30pm at Mary's Attic, 5400 N. Clark St. Tickets are $15 online or at the door.

Mud Queens @ Reggies

The Mud Queens female mud wrestling league is at Reggies Rock Club, 2105 S. State St., tonight, with Get Up with the Get Downs, Caveat Empire and Nordic Thunder performing in between (and during) the wrasslin'. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door, with $30 VIP seating in the balcony available. Doors open at 7:30pm. 17+

Comedy writer Johanna Stein, whose book: How Not To Calm A Child On A Plane, was released last month, talks with local writer and curator of The Funny Ha-Ha Show Claire Zulkey tonight at 7:30pm at Women & Children First (5233 N. Clark Street.) This is a free event.
