CHIRP Record Crawl

The fourth annual CHIRP Record Crawl takes music fans on a tour of record shops specializing in vinyl today. Registration opens at 10:30am at Groove Distribution, 346 N Justine St., and travels by trolley to Permanent Records, Dusty Groove, Reckless Wicker Park and Laurie's Planet of Sound before returning to the start at 4pm. $5 admission gets you transportation, coffee at registration and a discount at each shop. RSVP requested.

Ravenswood ArtWalk & Detour

The 13th annual Ravenswood ArtWalk Tour of Arts & Industry runs Oct. 3-5 along the Ravenswood corridor between Irving Park Road and Lawrence Avenue. From 11am to 6pm today, view art in galleries and artist studios as well as local businesses. And from noon to 6pm, Ravenswood Detour adds a street festival atmosphere to the mix, with live music, craft beer and spirits, and a food truck corral at Ravenswood and Berteau. $5 suggested donation.

Friends of the Grape @ St. Matthias

St. Matthias Parish hosts Friends of the Grape, a wine tasting event featuring fine wines, food from more than a dozen Lincoln Square-area restaurants, and an auction, today from 12:30 to 6:30pm at St. Matthias School Hall, 4910 N. Claremont Ave., Tickets are $45 till Sept. 30, $50 after. Get tickets for both Friends of the Grape and Friends of the Craft on Oct. 3 for $75.

Taste Talks All Star BBQ @ Palmer Square Park

Paul Kahan (Big Star), Stephanie Izard (Girl and the Goat) and Rick Bayless (Frontera) are among the chef superstars serving up the foods at the Taste Talks All Star BBQ, which runs in two sessions (1-4pm and 4-8pm) today at Palmer Square Park (Humboldt and Palmer Avenues). Tickets $40; cannot be purchased at the event, so buy in advance.

American Ballet Theatre @ Auditorium

The American Ballet Theatre performs Oct. 3-5 at the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Congress Pkwy. Today's performance is at 2pm. Tickets are $34-129.

Ana Tijoux @ Subterranean

Chilean superstar Ana Tijoux celebrates the release of her latest album, Vengo, tonight at Subterranean, 2011 W. North Ave. Doors open at 7pm, show's at 8pm. Tickets are $20. 21+
