The fifth annual Beer Hoptacular, a celebration of craft beer, craft beer and craft beer, holds court at the Aragon Ballroom (1106 W. Lawrence Ave.) tonight (6:30-10:00pm) and tomorrow (two sessions, 1:00-4:30pm and 6:30-10:00pm). Your $45 ticket (early entry VIP $85) gets you 25 tastings (over 150 beers will be on tap, from 60+ breweries in attendance), as well as a commemorative glass and a voting ballot for the Beer of the Year. The BeerHop Derby (the breweries compete, and the only materials allowed are beer bottles and cans), the Homebrew Challenge (where the home brewers compete!), and the BeardHoptacular (whose facial hair will win?) will also be taking place for your drunken (or buzzed) enjoyment.
