UIC's Gallery 400, 400 S. Peoria St., features photography, film, and new media by the late artist Harun Farocki and Trevor Paglen, in the two person exhibition Visibility Machines. The opening reception is from 4 to 6pm today. Free.
Arts Incubator, located at 301 E. Garfield Blvd. in Washington Park, holds an opening reception for the exhibition Exodus, featuring works by Alexandria Eregbu and Alfredo Salazar-Caro, this evening at 6pm.
The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival runs Jan. 8-18 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. The schedule tonight includes 18 shows on four stages, running at 6:30, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11pm. Tickets are $15 per show, $47 for a one-night pass, or $150 for a festival pass.
Lifeline Theatre's 18th annual Fillet of Solo Festival of solo performances and storytelling runs Jan. 9-25. Performances are held at the Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave., and the Heartland Studio Theatre, 7016 N. Glenwood Ave. Tickets are $10 per show or $50 for a festival pass, and are available online or at the Lifeline box office.

Kitchen Space, an alternative art gallery located in a kitchen, will be featuring the work of Alberto Aguilar, who will present several celebratory dinners during his solo exhibition in the gallery. Kitchen Space is located on 2716 N. Monticello Ave., 1F. Free and open to the public.
While it's true The Walkmen are on hiatus right now, you can still get your fill of Hamilton Leithauser. The lead singer of The Walkmen hits Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln, tonight as a solo act for the third night of the 2015 TNK festival. Blank Range and Landlady open. Show starts at 9:00pm tickets are $15.
Hip hop legend KRS-One headlines The Shrine, 2109 S. Wabash Ave., with Gizzae and DJ PNS of the Molemen opening. Tickets are $25 early-bird, $30 otherwise. Doors open at 9pm. 21+
