Burger and Beer Dinner @ Brasserie by LM
At tonight's beer dinner, guests at Brasserie by LM (800 S Michigan Ave) will have a choice of burgers to pair with a flight of four beers by Vice District Brewing Co. Food options include a burger with blue cheese and bacon, a burger topped with BBQ chicken, a lamb burger, and fried fish. The beer flight includes 4 oz pours of Vice District's Pleasure Trip (Blonde Ale), South Town Small (Porter), Everleigh (English-Style ale), and Habitual (Black IPA). The menu will be available starting a 5 p.m. and the cost is $20 (plus tax and gratuity).
John Gossage Conversation @ Art Institute
John Gossage, whose work is currently being exhibited in the Art Institute, 111 S. Michigan Ave., will be visiting Chicago for a conversation with Matthew S. Witkovsky and Richard and Ellen Sandor to discuss the retrospective tonight in Fullerton Hall at 6pm. Free with museum ticket.

Dark Circles Records Showcase @ Empty Bottle
Dark Circles Records showcases some of its bands tonight at the Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave., tonight at 9pm. Negative Scanner, Soddy Daisy and Weird Science perform. A new label compilation album will be available for purchase. The show is free with RSVP, $8 otherwise. 21+
