Out of Site Mini Series @ The Chicago Cultural Center

Out of Site Chicago is a curatorial project that focuses on art in public spaces, public performance art and the publics perception. Today at noon in the Garland Room at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St., there will be a continuation of the mini-series, "On Occasion," which welcomes guest speaker Robin Deacon, artist, writer and filmmaker. Free.

The Paper Machete @ Green Mill

The Paper Machete, Chicago's "live magazine," celebrates its fifth anniversary today at 3pm at the Green Mill, 4802 N. Broadway. Featured guests include Kim Bellware; Bran Einstein and Gary Pascal; Ike Holter; Samantha Irby; Natalie Jose; Ali Klinger; Patrick Rowland; and Chad the Bird -- plus musical comedy by Bill Larkin and musical guests Jonas Friddle and the Majority. Fillet of Solo Festival

Lifeline Theatre's 18th annual Fillet of Solo Festival of solo performances and storytelling runs Jan. 9-25. Performances are held at the Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave., and the Heartland Studio Theatre, 7016 N. Glenwood Ave. Tickets are $10 per show or $50 for a festival pass, and are available online or at the Lifeline box office.

Peanut Colada @ Roman Susan Annex

The Peanut Gallery is joining with Roman Susan Gallery in a site-specific, one-night-only exhibition featuring performances, sculptures, paintings, drawings and a plethora of other works by Ryan Burns, Brandon Howe, Charlie Megna, Jessi Meliza and Kelly Reaves. The Roman Susan Annex is located at 1637 W. Howard St. The evening kicks off at 4pm and lasts until 8pm.

Transforming Accessory Group Exhibition @ LVL3

Ben Barretto, Clare Grill, and Spencer Stucky are three artists participating in the group exhibition Transforming Accessory at LVL3 located at 1542 N. Milwaukee Ave. The opening reception is tonight starting 6PM and continues until 10PM. Free.

CHAOS Brew Club Stout & Chili Night
