Dance Anywhere Event

Dance Anywhere is a party where everyone is invited. Today at 2pm marks the worldwide public art performance where everyone is a performer. Wherever you are at 2pm today, whether it's your work place, school, a street corner or museum, you are encouraged to dance. The event marks the 10th year anniversary of Dance Anywhere.

Funny Ha-Ha: Hope Springs Eternal @ Hideout

Funny Ha-Ha returns to the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., tonight with "Hope Springs Eternal," featuring stories from Tyler Snodgrass, Kim Bellware, Samantha Irby, Carly Oishi and Rebecca Hanson, films by Steve Delahoyde and host Claire Zulkey. The show is at 6:30pm, and it'll cost you $10 at the door. 21+

Theater Oobleck's Song about Himself

Theater Oobleck presents the premiere of their latest play Song about Himself, premiering this evening at 7:30pm and running through April 26 at the Storefront Theater (66 E. Randolph). Full details and advance tickets available at the Oobleck Website.

Redletter @ Neo-Futurists

This is the final week to catch Redletter at the Neo-Futurarium, 5153 N. Ashland Ave. The play features Neo-Futurists Bilal Dardai, Trevor Dawkins and local live lit favorites Lisa Buscani, Lindsay Muscato and Thea Lux. Created by Lisa Buscani (Neo-Futurist Alum) Directed by Jen Ellison. Tickets run $10-$20 and can be purchased online or by calling 773-878-4557. Show starts at 7:30pm.

Led Kaapana & Mike Kaawa @ Old Town School

The Old Town School of Folk Music presents an evening concert with Hawaiian music masters Led Kaapana & Mike Kaawa. The concert happens tonight at 8:00pm at the school's building at 4544 N. Lincoln. Full details on the school's site, or call (773) 728-6000.

The Kickback @ Cobra Lounge

Get your money's worth with four alternative bands playing tonight at Cobra Lounge, 235 N. Ashland Ave. Headlining will be Chicago-based band The Kickback, with New York's indie rock band Born Cages, Chicago's four-piece band Secret Colours, and Chicago jazz/indie dabblers American Wolf contributing. Doors open at 8pm and the show begins at 9pm. This is a 21+ event and tickets are at the low, low price of $8.

A Screendance Event @ Mana Contemporary

Monica Thomas, Jason Chiu, Jason Eleweski and Lizzie Leopold/Brian Mazzaferri will be presenting choreographic and filmic works tonight, along with composer Will Huff and music by Doug Kaplan and Maxwell Allison. Refreshments will be provided; pre-purchased tickets are $10, $15 at door. Mana Contemporary is located at 2233 S. Throop St.
