Tuesday Funk @ Hopleaf

On April 7, Andrew Huff and Eden Robins co-host the 80th edition of Tuesday Funk, Chicago's eclectic monthly reading series, featuring Mikki Kendall, Mary Anne Mohanraj, Parker Molloy, Christian Picciolini and Sara Ross Witt. The reading gets underway at 7:30 pm in the upstairs lounge at Hopleaf, 5148 N. Clark St., Chicago. Doors open at 7pm sharp. Admission is free, but you must be 21 or older. RSVP on Facebook.

Aldertrack Election Night Party @ Kaiser Tiger

Aldertrack hosts an election night party tonight from 7pm to midnight at Kaiser Tiger, 1415 W. Randolph St., hosted by Che "Rhymefest" Smith. Watch the election results roll in and discuss politics with some serious politicos. The first 100 attendees will get a free drink on Aldertrack's tab. 21+

OUTspoken! LGBTQ stories @ Sidetrack

OUTspoken! holds performances the first Tuesday every month and that tell LGBTQ stories. With no cover, there is no excuse why you shouldn't come! Doors open at 6 p.m., but the performances don't start until 7. Sidetrack is located at 3349 N. Halsted. 21+

First Tuesdays with Mick & Ben @ Hideout

First Tuesdays with Mick and Ben is back at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., for a runoff election night show tonight at 8pm. The Reader's Mick Dumke and Ben Joravsky host, with special guests Aldermen Joe Moreno, Pat Dowell and Ameya Pawar acting as analysts as the results begin to trickle in. Tickets are $5 in advance or at the door. 21+
