Third Man Rolling Record Store @ Empty Bottle

The Empty Bottle hosts the Chicago stop of Third Man Records' Rolling Record Store. The mobile seller of merch from Jack White's label will have special RRS-only releases, so if you're a fan of the label you definitely want to attend. How To Do Everything Meetup @ Hideout

Bourbon Women Night @ Binny's

Binny's Lincoln Park, 1720 N. Marcy St., hosts a
special event with Kentucky's Bourbon Women, an organization of women in the spirits industry, from 6 to 8:30pm tonight. There will be cocktails, seminars and tastings of whiskey from Four Roses and Jim Beam. The first 100 guests will receive a gift bag, and everyone will receive a Binny's etched tasting glass. Tickets are $20 in advance only -- no walk-ups. 21+

Black Dogs and Melancholy@Chief O'Neill's Pub

"A Play, a Pie and a Pint" is the theme of tonight's Black Dogs and Melancholy, a dramatic reading with music based on the writings of Samuel Johnson and James Boswell. The reading is adapted by June Sawyers and directed by Si Osborne. Tickets are $25 and can be bought online or at the door (cash or check only). Chief O'Neill's is at 3471 N. Elston. Yonatan Gat/The Avantist/Divine Niño @ Schubas

Yonaton Gatguitarist of the now defunct Monotonix, stepped out on his own last year with Iberian Passage and followed it up with this year's Director, two albums of worldly psych punk worthy of accolades. His live shows are full of energy and tend to forgo the usual setups and create memorable experiences. He'll be stopping by Schubas ,3159 N. Southport Ave., along with local rockers The Avantist and psych outfit Divine Niño. The evening of exceptionally good music starts at 9pm. Tickets are $10 for this 21+ show.
