As a part of the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert series, V3NTO, a brass trio, will be performing today at 12:15 pm in the Preston Bradley Hall of the Chicago Cultural Center, located at 78 E. Washington. Admission is free.

UHF with Weird Al @ Music Box

As part of the 2nd Annual 26th Annual Comedy Festival, The Music Box Theatre presents two screenings of the 1989 film UHF, with director Jay Levey and star Weird All Yankovic in attendance at both screenings. See the festival site for tickets.

Cameron McGill @ Hideout

Cameron McGill plays a show at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., tonight at 8pm, with Tom Schraeder opening. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. Doors open at 7pm. 21+

Miss Spoken @ Gallery Cabaret

Miss Spoken, the female-focused reading series, celebrates its first anniversary at the Gallery Cabaret, 2020 N. Oakley Ave., at 7pm. The theme this month is "mothers," and featured readers include Sonia Denis, Samantha Abernethy, Natasha Tsoutsouris and Shanna Strum. Rosamund Lannin and Carly Oishi host. $5 suggested donation, with proceeds going to the readers. 21+

Oral @ the Annoyance

Moth StorySLAM winner Erin Diamond and Comedian Bente Engelstoft host Oral, a new weekly storytelling hour at the Annoyance Theatre and Bar, 951 W. Belmont Ave., at 8pm. This week's readers include Greg Worsley, Dewayne Perkins, Maria Randazzo, Mary Catherine Curran and Jennifer Cumberworth. Admission is $8.

Poetic Pilgrimage @ Old Town School

Poetic Pilgrimagewill be performing at the Old Town School of Folk Music, 4544 N. Lincoln Ave., tonight at 8:30pm as a part of the school's World Music Wednesday Series. Poetic Pilgrimage is a rare act, being a Muslim female hip hop and spoken word duo. They deliver lively and engaging performances that challenge audiences to think deeply on their messages of peace, unity, and freedom. Admission is free, but you can reserve tickets here.
