Renegade Craft Fair Pop-Up @ Hideout

The Renegade Craft Fair is doing a pop-up show outside the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., this weekend from 11am to 6pm. Shop for local handmade goods while listening to live music by the Hat Stretchers and Rorey Carroll. Admission is free.

Elston Avenue Sausage Fest

Encased meats may be enough for some people, but the inaugural Elston Avenue Sausage Fest is upping the ante when it comes to street fests. Along with mouth-watering sausage, the fest will feature live music on two stages and even a showcase from Freelance Wrestling, a Chicago-based wrestling promotion. The event will be occurring today and Sunday on the 3800 block of north Elston Avenue. Gates to the festivities will be open at noon, and there is a suggested $5 donation for admission.

Dog Dayz of Summer

Hot Doug's returns! Dog Dayz of Summer sees Doug Sohn back in business, slinging his famous haute hot dogs in four three-hour sessions at the Goose Island Barrel Warehouse, 605 N. Sacramento Ave., today and Sunday. For $75 a person, attendees will get unlimited Hot Doug's, plus Goose Island beers -- including rare Bourbon County Stout variants -- and live music, with a different lineup for each of the four sessions. Today's sessions run from noon to 3pm and 5 to 8pm. All ages, 21+ to drink.

Gold Coast Greek Fest @ Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral

Hosted by the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Chicago, this year's Gold Coast Greek Fest will feature free admission, with live music and dancing, tours of the Cathedral, authentic Greek food and pastries, beer, wine and more, even valet parking. The fest will begin today at 12pm, and will also include a performance later tonight by Kosta Kastanis Band from 6-11 pm. The cathedral is located at 1017 N. LaSalle.

Logan Square Arts Festival

The Logan Square Arts Festival runs June 26-28, centered on the square itself as well as locations along Milwaukee Avenue and the surrounding area. The festival features art exhibitions in local galleries and businesses, live music on two stages on the square, food and drink vendors and family-friendly activities. The festival runs from noon to 10pm today.

Chicago Food Truck Fest @ South Loop Green Space

Mmmmm, I can taste all the delicious Chicago dogs already. The second annual Chicago Food Truck Festival is being held today and Sunday at the South Loop Green Space, 2400 S. Dearborn St. With a host a food trucks and free admission (and smells), the event is sure to be a triumph for tastebuds everywhere. The festival runs from noon to 7pm. Admission is free, or pay $5 to get in an hour earlier or $10 for early access plus a drink.

The Chicago Dyke March is today at 1:30pm at the Humboldt Park Boat House, 1400 N. Sacramento Ave. Free.

Printers Ball @ the Hubbard Street Lofts

The Printers Ball 2015: Push & Pull brings together printers, writers, publishers, artists, readers and collectors for a daylong festival of literary culture, printmaking and more. The event will have 18 programs throughout the day, and "guests can anticipate a field day of hands-on experiences with printmaking, writing, and live lit." There will also be roundtable discussions with artists and peers as a part of the program lineup, and a book marketplace for all to delight in; see the full schedule online. The ball is from 2 to 10pm at the Hubbard Street Lofts, 1821 W. Hubbard St.. Tickets range from being free at the most basic level, to $5 for guaranteed admission to see the keynote speaker, and then VIP Admission for $25.

Aesthetic Disorder Opening Reception @ The Archer Beach Haus

Archer Beach Haus, in collaboration with S+S Project, will be featuring a group exhibition entitled, Aesthetic Disorder, tonight from 6-10pm. The space is located at 10pm at 3012 S. Archer Avenue.


The Decline of Western Civilization @ Music Box

Director Penelope Spheeris presents her two documentaries The Decline of Western Civilization and The Decline of Western Civilization part II: The Metal Years, tonight at 9:45 and midnight, respectively, at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave. Tickets are $12 for one or both films.

L.A.T.E. Ride

This annual benefit for Friends of the Parks is a must-do for all Chicagoans and bike enthusiasts: a large-group bike ride through a robust list of city neighborhoods that starts (technically at 1:00am on Sunday, but get there well before to get into your assigned cycling wave) ends at Buckingham Fountain (500 S. Columbus), with course marshals, medics, a refreshment stop, and an end-of-ride sunrise breakfast. Registration $50-80.
