Renegade Craft Fair Pop-Up @ Hideout

The Renegade Craft Fair is doing a pop-up show outside the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., this weekend from 11am to 6pm. Shop for local handmade goods while listening to live music by the Tiny Clover Band and Black Bear Combo. Admission is free.

Elston Avenue Sausage Fest

Encased meats may be enough for some people, but the inaugural Elston Avenue Sausage Fest is upping the ante when it comes to street fests. Along with mouth-watering sausage, the fest will feature two musical stages and even a showcase from Freelance Wrestling, a Chicago-based wrestling promotion. The fest runs Saturday and today on the 3800 block of north Elston Avenue. Gates to the festivities will be open at noon, and there is a suggested $5 donation for admission.

Chicago Pride Parade

The 46th annual Chicago Pride Parade starts at noon today at Broadway and Montrose and runs south on Broadway, onto Halsted, then east on Belmont, then south on Broadway again, then east on Diversey to Cannon Drive. (Got all that?) Be warned, police will be watching for alcohol and doling out $1,000 tickets. Otherwise, free.

Chicago Food Truck Fest @ South Loop Green Space

Mmmmm, I can taste all the delicious Chicago dogs already. The second annual Chicago Food Truck Festival is being held Saturday and today at the South Loop Green Space, 2400 S. Dearborn St. With a host a food trucks and free admission (and smells), the event is sure to be a triumph for tastebuds everywhere. The festival runs from noon to 7pm. Admission is free, or pay $5 to get in an hour earlier or $10 for early access plus a drink.

Dog Dayz of Summer

Hot Doug's returns! Dog Dayz of Summer sees Doug Sohn back in business, slinging his famous haute hot dogs in four three-hour sessions at the Goose Island Barrel Warehouse, 605 N. Sacramento Ave., Saturday and today. For $75 a person, attendees will get unlimited Hot Doug's, plus Goose Island beers -- including rare Bourbon County Stout variants -- and live music, with a different lineup for each of the four sessions. Today's sessions run from noon to 3pm and 5 to 8pm. All ages, 21+ to drink.

Gold Coast Greek Fest @ Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral

Hosted by the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Chicago, this year's Gold Coast Greek Fest will feature free admission, with live music and dancing, tours of the Cathedral, authentic Greek food and pastries, beer, wine and more, even valet parking. The fest will begin today at 12pm, and will also include a performance later tonight by Kosta Kastanis Band from 6-11 pm. The cathedral is located at 1017 N. LaSalle.

Logan Square Arts Festival

The Logan Square Arts Festival runs June 26-28, centered on the square itself as well as locations along Milwaukee Avenue and the surrounding area. The festival features art exhibitions in local galleries and businesses, live music on two stages on the square, food and drink vendors and family-friendly activities. The festival runs from noon to 10pm today.

Made-Up with Danny Volk @ MCA

The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago is hosting Danny Volk's on-going project, "Made-Up with Danny Volk" today at 3pm. While interviewing artists, Danny simultaneously allows them to do his makeup. For this particular interview, Faheem Majeed will discuss his life and art while applying makeup to the host. The event is free.


Froot Salad Pride Party @ Annoyance Theatre and Bar

Today beginning at 3PM, Froot Salad, will be celebrating love, happiness, and pride at the Annoyance Theatre and Bar located at 851 W. Belmont Ave. RSVP for a reduced price of $7.

Quimby's Night at LiveWire Lounge

It's Quimby's Night at LiveWire Lounge, 3394 N. Milwaukee Ave., and so the indie bookstore presents "3 Songs, 3 Writers Reading About Those Songs" tonight at 6pm, featuring Ben Tanzer reading about "The World's a Mess" by X, Shay DeGrandis, reading about "Ever Fallen In Love" by the Buzzcocks, and Paul Durica reading about "Children of the Revolution" by T. Rex. The Blue Ribbon Glee Club will perform each song live. Free, 21+
