"Political Clay" Opening Reception @ The Bridgeport Art Center

The Bridgeport Art Center is featuring the juried exhibition, Political Clay, tonight from 6pm-9pm. The show will take place in the Ceramic Center in the BAC located on 1200 W. 35th St.

Funny Ha Ha @ Hideout

Funny Ha Ha returns from hiatus tonight at 6:30pm at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., with readings by Kate James, Rebecca Makkai, Kelsie Huff, Steve Gadlin and Alicia Swiz, plus short films by Steve Delahoyde. Claire Zulkey hosts. $10 at the door. 21+

Quay Brothers Films @ Music Box

The Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., screens Christopher Nolan's new documentary short Quay, along with a program of Quay Brothers films. Full details and advance tickets on the Music Box website.

Wine Riot @ Union Station

Second Glass presents the Wine Riot in the Great Hall at Union Station, 500 W. Jackson St., tonight and Saturday. Sample dozens of wines, get crash courses on varietals and regions, and share the night via the Instagram station, photobooth and postcards. Tickets are $60 per session; tonight's session is from 7 to 11pm. 21 and over, obviously.

Tony Rabit Opening @ Rotofugi

Rotofugi, 2780 N. Lincoln Ave., hosts an opening reception for its current show, Garden Party by Tony Rabit, tonight from 7 to 10pm.

Lily & Madeleine/Shannon Hayden @ SPACE

The wonderful sisters Lily & Madeleine will be returning to SPACE,1245 Chicago Ave. in Evanston, to showcase their lovely folk pop sounds. Joining the sisters will be masterful cellist Shannon Hadyen. Show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $22 for seats at a table.

Electric Six @ Double Door

Embrace the weirdness as Electric Six headlines Double Door, 1551 N. Damen Ave., tonight, with Yip Deceiver, the Trolls and the Gothsicles opening. Doors open at 8pm, and tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. 18+

Dan Kanvis @ Emporium Arcade

Catch Chicago-based rapper Dan Kanvis tonight at 9 p.m. at Emporium Arcade, 1366 N. Milwaukee Ave. Kanvis will be performing alongside jazz and hip-hop inspired Deep Fayed and singer songwriter Via Rose. The free show is 21 and over.

CHIRP Homecoming Rally @ Hideout

In preparation to go live with its low-power radio frequency, CHIRP Radio holds a homecoming rally at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave. Put on your letter jacket, pull out your pom pons and join the crowd for live performances by Netherfriends, Soft Speaker and the Chicago Spirit Brigade. GlitterGuts will be there with a photobooth. Doors open at 9pm. Admission is $10. 21+

A Celebration of Stephen King @ Music Box

The Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., and Conseuqnece of Sound invite you to a celebration of Stephen King, featuring a surreal prom theme that will culminate in the midnight screening of Carrie. Arrive at 10:30pm for the pre-screening celebration. Tickets are $12.

Belles and Whistles Burlesque Revue @ City Winery

Michelle L'Amour's Belles and Whistles Burlesque Revue is at City Winery, 1200 W.
