Open House Chicago

Ever wonder what the inside of those beautiful buildings around the city of Chicago look like? The Chicago Architecture Foundation opens up those buildings for an Open House. Tourists and Chicagoans alike can take a look inside the buildings you couldn't walk into before! From 9am to 5pm today, check out the site map here and go somewhere you've never explored. Free!

Vintage Garage

Vintage Garage ends its season in the parking garage at 5051 N. Broadway today. The show features a "record ramp" full of vintage music in addition to the usual furniture, fashion, accessories, housewares and tchotchkes. The fair is open from 10am to 5pm; admission is $5.

Story Sessions Brunch @ City Winery

Story Sessions returns to City Winery, 1200 W. Randolph St., for another brunch show today. The theme is "Collide," and the readers are John Hahm, Ellen Blum Barish, Hallie Palladino, Andrew Reilly, Marta Wilmes and Scott Woldsman, with music by James Neary. Doors open at 10:30am, music starts at 11am and readings are at noon. Tickets are $12.

Hyde Park Handmade Bazaar @ Promontory

The Hyde Park Handmade Artisan Bazaar & Farmers Market returns to the upstairs lounge at the Promontory, 5311 S. Lake Park Ave., today from 11am to 4pm. Shop for locally made crafts, art and home grown fruits and veggies. Admission is free.

Chili Fest

Chili Fest pairs chili and football for an outdoor food festival in the parking lot at 218 W. Ohio St. Saturday and today. Sample competition-grade chili from seven competitors and vote for your favorite, then watch NFL football on the big screen. There will also be a coat drive -- donate new and gently used coats, hats, gloves and thermals. The fest runs from 11am to 7pm today. Tickets are $10-$40 depending on if you go with a drink package.

The Marrow @ Whistler

Nonfiction reading series The Marrow returns to the Whistler, 2421 N. Milwaukee Ave., tonight with readings by Re'Lynn Hansen, Geoff Hyatt, Dange Russ Price and Coya Paz. Naomi Huffman and Leah Pickett host. Doors open at 5:30pm, show's at 6pm. No cover, 21+
