One of a Kind Show @ Merchandise Mart

The annual One of a Kind Show runs through Sunday at the Merchandise Mart, 222 Merchandise Mart Plaza, 7th floor. Hours today are 11am - 8pm. Tickets are $12 for adults; children 12 and under are free. Special ticket packages are also available online. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital.

Late Night Andersonville

Tonight is Late Night Andersonville, when shops stay open a bit later than usual for holiday shopping and fun events, like live music, photos with Santa and more; see the website for details. The event officially runs from 6 to 10pm. Free.

Strand of Oaks @ Metro

Strand of Oaks started 2015 with a terrific performance during Tomorrow Never Knows at Lincoln Hall. Over Lollapalooza weekend they played the Empty Bottle. Now they're playing Metro, 3730 N. Clark. St. That's a promising trajectory for any band. It doesn't hurt that Philadelphia-based Timothy Showalter's rock'n'roll band is a powerhouse live. The show's $18, 21+ and starts at 8:30pm.

Cuddlestock @ Empty Bottle

Tall Pat Records presents the third annual Cuddlestock, featuring Flesh Panthers, Clearance, The Rubs and Glyders, tonight at Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave. Tickets are $8 or free with RSVP. Doors open at 9pm. 21+

Freelance Wrestling @ Bottom Lounge

Bottom Lounge, 1375 W. Lake St., hosts Freelance Wrestling's Raw Power (moved from the Abbey) tonight at 10pm. The bill includes Isaias Velazquez vs. Sugar Dunkerton, Robert "The Ego" Anthony vs. Kenny Sutra, and special guests Colt Cabana, Grado & Kikutaro will film the third installment of The Wrestling Road Diaries. Plus, the pre-show will be a live taping of Colt Cabana's The Art of Wrestling podcast. Tickets are $15. Doors open at 9pm. 21+

Greg Sestero @ Music Box

"O hai, Mark." Greg Sestero, author of The Disaster Artist (about his part in the now-legendary cult film The Room), comes to the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., tonight for an evening of discussion about the film and his tell-all book. The show starts at 10pm with a discussion, a behind-the-scenes documentary, and a Q&A session with Greg. Then, stick around for a screening of The Room at midnight! Tickets are $12, or $20 if you stick around for The Room. Box office: (773) 871-6604.

Best of Too Much Light @ Neo-Futurarium

The Neo-Futurists hold their annual two-weekend best-of shows this and next weekend. Come see the best plays produced over the year for their signature show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind, tonight at 11:30. The show happens at the Neo-Futurarium (5153 N. Ashland, near Foster); check the Neo-Futurist site for details and limited quantities of advance tickets.
