Two-Point Diversion: Bears, Bulls, Cubs, Sox
Bears Are Going on Shopping Spree!
It's free agent season and the Bears are shopping for a pantry of talent. Lovie Smith flew to Charlotte, North Carolina late on Thursday to court free agent defensive end/avalanche of human bone, muslce and power, Julius Peppers. Peppers, has at times been a mercurial presence but when he's "on" it's "lights out" for opposing offenses. Meanwhile, Chester Taylor, Minnesota's backfield "Hardy" to Adrian Peterson's Stan Laurel is also being courted by the Bears. Check back w. Tailgate here and on our Twitter (yeah, we went there) for updates all weekend.
Bulls Drop One to Memphis, Randolph dominates Chi's frontcourt
No Noah, Mo' Problems! Zach Randolph bulled his way through Chicago's forwards and centers to the tune of 31 points and 18! rebounds as Z-Bo and the Memphis Grizzled Bears fought their way back from deficits of 17 and 10 to steal a road win against the Bulls. Fans frustration rising.
Cubs and ChiSox are Meeting Up in the Desert
You know spring is around the corner once WGN starts hocking the "Crosstown Classic" commercials for Spring Training games. In any case, the South siders and the North siders are getting together for some fun this weekend with split squad games Saturday and Sunday. Plan your Old Style/bratwurst stockpiles accordingly.
