Go West, Young Man
Tonight marks the last of two shows (and the final all-ages one) from locals Hanalei, as singer/songwriter Brian Moss, who came to Chicago about five years ago with his former group The Ghost, has decided to move back to California to continue the band as the one-man show it started out as. Earlier this year, Thick Records (helmed by another Chicagoan who recently departed for California) released Hanelei’s sophomore full length, Parts and Accessories, which is a significant improvement over the debut, We Are All Natural Disasters. The last hurrah takes place at the quirky, divey Logan Square bar Ronny’s (2101 N. California) on October 27, while tonight’s goodbye show is at Schubas. Tickets are $7, doors open at 7pm.
