Rock for Net Neutrality
On Tuesday, Ted Leo helped kick off the Future of Music Coalition's campaign for net neutrality. Some internet service providers want to institute a fee system to have some websites load faster than others, and FMC thinks this will play unfairly into the hands of indie musicians and labels who depend on the net to promote their music and sell directly to fans. The Rock The Net campaign already has the endorsement of local-ish band OK GO, while Chicago labels Touch And Go, Carrot Top, Bloodshot and Lilypad Records have also signed on for the cause. Fans can also show support by signing the petition here.
