Iraqi Band Needs Your Help Getting Out

Tomorrow, I know last minute but we are VICE is just how we roll, we are throwing a fundraiser in Chicago for our buddies the Iraqi heavy metal band Acrassicauda. The band is the center piece of our new movie "Heavy Metal in Baghdad." The long of the short, they need to get out of Iraq where they are receiving death threats about their music and ways. So we are raising money to get them out. How? The only way VICE knows how, drinking and having a good time. So far we have raised over $13K.
The raffle tickets will be $2 and the best part is that they bar is donating proceeds from us getting drunk to the cause. So the more we drink, the more money we raise.

So far, the raffle prizes include
- a subscription to VICE magazine + gifts from Vice Records
- gift certificates to Metal Haven record store.
- two pairs of tickets to the Vader / Malevolent Creation show on sunday november 25th in chicago
- a big gift pack from Hydrahead Records
- a free one year subscription to Decibel magazine + a Decibel t-shirt / stickers / buttons + random assorted stuff from the Decibel lair
- gift certificates to The Pleasure Chest (yeah. the Pleasure Chest. because nothing is more metal than a double-dong.)
The raffle will be at 12 / 12:30. We start playing records at 10, bar is open until four.
