Benefit Wed Mar 19 2008
Get Inked. Rock Out. Support the Animals
Since when do you get the chance to support a tattoo parlor, the Anti-Cruelty Society and rock n' roll at the same time? Since local tattoo establishment, Insight Studios set its mind to celebrate its anniversary each year with a benefit. This year marks #3 for the studio, and they'll be running not one but two parties, as well as sharing all of their tattoo and piercing profits March 28th-30th.
First off, if you come into the shop and get a tattoo or piercing between March 28th and March 30, Insight will donate 100% of their profits to the Anti-Cruelty Society. But that's not all!
For those who like to rock, on Friday, March 28th, National Jet Set and Church Key are set to perform at the Cobra Lounge, along with a DJ set by Bob Jones. Music starts at 10pm and a percentage of the bar's profits from that night will be donated to the Anti-Cruelty Society. Drink specials, artwork, and a raffle will be held for prizes from Insight Studios and local hair salon Twisted Scissors.
In for a double shot? Then head out on Saturday, March 29th, for a second benefit show at the Double Door with Electric Six, Alex Winston, Tight Phantomz and Ramova. Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm. Tickets are $15, and are available at the door or online. A percentage of the ticket sales will be donated to the Anti-Cruelty Society, as well as a percentage of bar's profits that night. Another raffle will be held to win prizes from Insight Studios and Twisted Scissors. Any additional audience donations are welcome at both shows or at the shop.
The Cobra Lounge is located at 235 N. Ashland, just north of Lake. The Double Door is located at 1572 N. Milwaukee. Insight Studios is located at 1026 N. Milwaukee Ave.
