A Different Sort of Remembrance
In November of last year, former Wilco member Jay Bennett released his album Whatever Happened I Apologize under Creative Commons license for free download via start-up netlabel Rock Proper. Rock Proper was using grassroots funding site Kickstarter to produce an 180g vinyl record of the album. Now, after news of his death over the weekend, the effort has taken on additional poignancy as a way to memorialize Jay.
