SXSW Band Diary: Rabble Rabble -- Wednesday

With our first day and gig at SxSW behind us we got hungry. Real hungry. So first thing Wednesday we got some Bar Be Que and Brews at Uncle Billy's Brew and Que. Pat Rios from the Chicago band Meah! meet up with us and we all got big ol' Texan meat plates. I personally doubled up on the ribs which was a GREAT idea!

Our show wasn't until 11:30 that night so we decided to go check out the campus. The Co Ops on the west campus are awesome. Huge hotel style houses full of UT kids setting up DIY venues and art spaces. We then moved onto the Guadelupe street or " The Drag". Full of head shops, corporate retail like Urban Outfitters, indie coffee houses and fashion soaked youngsters it was reminiscent to Chicago's Wicker Park.

We quickly felt the craziness of SxSW when we walked into the ever expanding Spider House. Kind of like a shanty town with the quaint feel of a bar like The Hideout it had multiple stages inside and outside. Including small food shops and crafts stores it had all you need to hang out all night and be satisfied. Alas it was time for us to go back to the "HOG house" or house of guys and start the show. A nice counter from the night before this show was in a small living room on campus and was most defiantly meant to get rowdy, sweaty and just insane.
