SXSW Band Diary: Rabble Rabble -- Thursday

Day 3 started out with a hang over and bad news. Matt's bass head blew up the night before at the super chaotic house of guys show. With the mics crapping out and other technical difficulties things had to get insane. So we pulled our usual move; turn up louder get rowdy and start dancing.

Any how we spent the next day mostly running around town and trying to find a place to fix the bass head. We met some really cool older gentlemen at Austin Amplifiers who opened up the amp found the problem gave us the low down and let us try a bunch of vintage amps all for free. Sweet dudes!

So after finding out that the head was pretty much dead we had two options. Rent or Buy. We visited some converted aircraft hanger to tour support zone????? That seemed sketchy and expensive. Finally after 7 hours of stress we found a nice Trace Elliot head at the Bass Emporium and bought it our right. It has a black light built into it. SWEET.

We set up a impromptu show on a porch and got some whiskey. It was St. Patty's day so we had to celebrate. About half way through our set we had a crazy feeling of nostalgia for Chicago, as the cops busted the party and made us stop playing. I guess 11pm on a Thursday just isn't the appropriate time to rock, WHAT EVER wheres that whiskey?!
