Portugal. The Man's Van, Trailer & Equipment Stolen After Lollapalooza
In an unfortunate postscript to Lollapalooza, Portugal. The Man's tour van and trailer -- containing all of their equipment -- were stolen from an attended parking lot near Grant Park sometime after 7am today. The band sent out a plea for assistance via Twitter this afternoon:
Be on the lookout for a burgundy Ford 350 15-passenger van with black trailer attached, Alaska license plates FJH244. A PDF of the band's gear list, with serial numbers where possible, is available here. If you want to be especially helpful, print it out and drop it off at your local neighborhood pawn shop.
The band will be staying at the Hard Rock Hotel for the next couple days while they hope for the speedy recovery of their gear and vehicle.
UPDATE: Orange Amps offered a generous incentive via Twitter to help the band recover its equipment. "Here's the deal #Chicago. Find @PortugalTheMan's Orange AD200B Bass Head serial 2690-0211, and we'll give you a Tiny Terror. NO QUESTIONS."
UPDATE 2: The band posted on Twitter this morning that the van and trailer have been found, but that they were empty.
