It's Official: Here's the 2012 Lollapalooza Lineup

The official 2012 Lollapalooza lineup was announced at midnight at the Do312 Lolla announcement party at Debonair Social Club, and it is exactly identical to the list leaked on Monday, with Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, Black Sabbath and Jack White as the big headliners.

Greg Kot reports that the Black Sabbath reunion will include original members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward. The Afghan Whigs and At the Drive-In are also reuniting for the festival (and their own reunion tours).

Meanwhile, the other three headliners, RHCP, the Black Keys and Jack White, are all Lolla veterans (although White previously played with his band the Raconteurs). Bloc Party, Delta Spirit, Miike Snow and the Temper Trap also return for another go.

Traditionally, a handful of local acts make it onto the bill at Lollapalooza, and this year it's Empires, JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound, Kid Color and DJ Zebo.

The list below notes acts that @lollaleaks and @thelollaleaker got right back in February, as well as those teased by the festival itself via ads on the CTA and elsewhere in the city. Considering his method of simply observing who Lollapalooza organizer C3 Presents had been working with and which acts had holes in their schedules, the guy behind @LollaLeaks did only a so-so job of guessing who was showing, getting only eight out of 18 right. He fared better than @thelollaleaker, though, who went six for 21. The only act not on the bill that was teased in a CTA ad was Kimbra; presumably she was planned and later dropped for one reason or another.

Three-day passes are on sale now for $230; once those are sold out, single-day tickets will be released. No word yet what they'll cost. High rollers may also opt for a VIP pass, which will set you back $1,050.
