It seems like just yesterday we were touting Bloodshot Records' latest milestone, and here they are hitting another one. This weekend, the venerable Chicago music label celebrates their 20th year with a musical showcase that should be on your social calendar. Featuring no less than Murder by Death, Andre Williams, Danny Black from the Blacks and Nora O'Connor.

Murder By Death offers not the angry metal you might expect from their name, but instead, orchestral indie tunes that make you smile.
Andre Williams is an old school charmer, bringing classic R&B styles to the stage with an incomparable array of suits and hats that make what you're wearing look like a pile of rags.
And Nora O'Connor you might have heard with Neko Case or Kelly Hogan a time or two (or hundred) but she also performs with Danny Black (of The Blacks) as Precious Blood.
All in all, a tremendous lineup worth your attention this Saturday night, May 3. Come on out and celebrate, and raise a glass to Bloodshot's 20 years.
The Bloodshot 20th Anniversary Showcase gets going at Logan Square Auditorium (2539 N. Kedzie Blvd) as a part of Chicago International Movies & Music Festival (CIMMFest). The party runs all night from 8pm-1am. Tickets are $20. 18+
