Stars Align: Chicago Artists Come Together for One Night Only
Some comets pass by Earth once every few decades. The rarer ones take thousands of years before returning to burn through the night sky.
And then there are those rare occasions where everything is right and the stars align; where something special comes together for only a moment, and is gone forever.
We at Gapers Block hope to catch a bit of this magic with our new music series, Stars Align, which brings together two local artists for a unique collaboration -- for one night only.
Jaime Rojo's latest EP and Santah's Stanton McConnell.
Our inaugural show of the Stars Align series will feature Stanton McConnell of Santah and Jim Drake of Jaime Rojo, at the GMan Tavern, 3740 N. Clark St., on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7:30pm. Tickets are free, and the event is 21+.
Each musician will play re-imagined, stripped-down versions of the other's songs. And we're sure they'll throw in some classic covers, and maybe even a duet or two for good measure. The result will be a unique experience you won't want to miss. RSVP on Facebook.
We're really excited about this series, and to have Begyle Brewing on board as the sponsor. If you love music, be sure to come on out and watch the stars align.
