The building appears to be uninhabited, and the following construction permit was issued for this property on December 27, 2011: "Erect 2 story single family residence with 2 car garage with roof top deck as per plans."
The owner's address listed on the demolition permit, 1632 S. Ashland Ave. in Park Ridge, is the location of the owner on 10 other Chicago demolition permits since 2006, including 3549 N. Reta Ave., the orange-rated building that launched this project.
Over the course of 2012 David Schalliol produced a photographic portrait of 100 of the hundreds of buildings threatened with demolition in the city of Chicago.
