Chicago Historic Resources Survey: Not included [?]
Owner: Robert Lattas
Permit Description: Wreck and remove 2 story brick residence.
Status: Demolition permit issued 10/16/12
This building is the rear of two structures on the property and was recently made visible by the demolition crew removing stairway access to the second floor.
The parcel was recently listed for sale with a new construction residence for $1.5 million, but the associated photographs are for an unbuilt model. No reference is made to the current structures.
The only 311 requests made on the property were made simultaneously on August 21, 2012 for rodent bating and parkway tree trimming.
Over the course of 2012 David Schalliol produced a photographic portrait of 100 of the hundreds of buildings threatened with demolition in the city of Chicago. Nearly all of the buildings have since been demolished. Visit the background information section for more information about the project, including definitions and links to other building resources.
The series is supported by a generous grant from the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation.
