Chicago Historic Resources Survey: Not included [?]
Owner: City of Chicago
Permit Description: Wreck and remove 3 story frame multi unit residence and detached brick garage.
Status: Demolition permit issued 2/23/2012
The building was previously rehabilitated, with two previous building permits for a porch construction and repair on September 20, 2006, as well as drywall and other repairs on April 8, 2008. Despite the clear presence of gang graffiti on the doors and other surfaces, no 311 calls have been made about the building.
Over the course of 2012 David Schalliol produced a photographic portrait of 100 of the hundreds of buildings threatened with demolition in the city of Chicago. Nearly all of the buildings have since been demolished. Visit the background information section for more information about the project, including definitions and links to other building resources.
The series is supported by a generous grant from the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation.
